We were thrilled to welcome back former Chigwell pupil Mark Wright, one of our most celebrated Old Chigwellians, to speak to our Lower Sixth as part of the Stardust careers mentoring programme.

Mark delivered an honest and captivating account of his journey so far, reflecting on the setbacks, challenges, and defining moments that have shaped his career. From his early fame on The Only Way is Essex to appearances on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Strictly Come Dancing, The Bachelor, and Soccer Aid, as well as his work in radio and broadcasting, he offered pupils invaluable insight into the realities of working in the media and entertainment industries.

This session formed part of the wider Stardust mentoring initiative, led by Phillip Leigh, which brings together former pupils, parents, and local professionals to share their experiences and guidance with our Sixth Form. This term, the programme has also extended to students and teachers from Oaks Park High School.

We are grateful to Phillip for helping reconnect Old Chigwellians like Mark with the School and for creating meaningful opportunities that inspire and support our pupils as they explore their future pathways.
