Meet the Future

Meet the Future

THE FACES OF TOMORROW

Our programme consists of informal presentations and talks given by ‘young’ Old Chigwellians and has been going from strength to strength. Discussions followed by question-and-answer sessions focus on issues such as starting out in their chosen careers, university, first jobs, changes of plan; in short, advice to their younger selves.

Such advice is invaluable to our students who are deciding upon their future career paths.

In the past couple of years we were delighted to welcome many OCs speaking on a range of interesting topics and careers including: Poppy Bradley (OC 2012-2019) spoke about her PHD journey and her research project designing new medicines; Sophie Strong (OC 2007-2009) promoted the qualities and actions required to succed, together with support on cocmpleting applications and personal statements; Billy Wells (OC 2000-2011) talked about the foreign exchange and the importance of embracing and using your failures positively, Harry Benjamin (OC 2005-2015) on radio broadcasting and sports reporting, Meera Ragha (OC 2001-2008) on a career as a Financial Regulatory lawyer, to name just a few.
